This sculpture of wood and steel is called "Kokoro no mado" which litteraly means "the heart door". This sculpture is located on the sacred mountain of the Fudanji temple in Niigata Japan. The monks and the prayers are climbing the the stairs to pass through the circle and access a state of meditation observing shinto religious ritual.
