Yoshinari Nishio

Born in 1982 in Nara, Japan. Lives and works in Ibaraki.
Now I'm enrolled and working in the Inter Media Art course, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.

By regarding the communicative environment with clothes as Fashionscape, I try to present various works with workshops, performances and installations from my original viewpoint I set. In addition, I regard such a creative activity in itself as an art of relation among the people concerned. That's why I try to create every event including the space, the time and the environment.

Artist Statement
Although the act of "wearing" is personal, which has very important meaning to build "myself", actually it hardly happens that "wearing" deviates from "the way of wearing". What I aim to do through my making action is to get rid of a conventional stereotype about "wearing" and to rebuild "myself" by changing it and then to present a new way of conversation.
