Open_Sailing 2009 -> in

We are a group of passionate inventors and scientists trying to put
together the International_Ocean_Station as an open-source hardware and
software mobile laboratory. May it be ocean exploration, pollution and
climate study, sustainable aquaculture, life-saving architecture,
communication infrastructure etc. We are inventing an entire novel
architecture family, with a hands-on approach. Work
with us.
Open_Sailing has won the 2009 Ars
Electronica [NEXT IDEA] Golden Nica award, Voestalpine grant, Linz,
Austria, Sustainable Art Award Bash, London, UK. Open_Sailing will be
represented at TED 2010
conference, Long Beach, Los Angeles, US.

We are the World Environment Organization. The world leaders cannot
agree, we need to take action now together. We do 2 things :
- a global map indexing all the local initiatives.
- a forum for determining what the WEO should be as an institution
(rules, sanctions) .
Combining the power of the many great civilian local initiatives and
deciding together of a global environmental governance. Take action.

Urban Space Station

The Urban Space Station is an open urban agriculture and parasite
architecture project. Its objective is to enhance life quaility (air,
water, temperature, food, waste, social cohesion...) in cities and in
outer space mission by complementing human existence with fauna and
flora.
This USS is the first prototype at ~40% of the "real one" designed by
Natalie Jeremijenko (NYU) and Angel Borrego (OSS), performed by Cesar
Harada (RCA), for the exhibition Máquinas
& Almas at the Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid, Spain. 2008

Natural Fuse,

Natural Fuse creates a city-wide network of
electronically-assisted plants that act both as energy providers and as
circuit breakers.
Every
seemingly helpful device that a human being uses has its own
carbon “footprint” which, in excess, can harm other living beings.
“Natural fuse” is a micro scale CO2 monitoring & overload
protection framework that works locally and globally, harnessing the
carbon-sinking capabilities of plants.
